Here, you can see my daughter modelling for the last campaign I did for my own fashion label. That was 15 years ago, she was 15 when the photo was taken, and I’m sure you’ll agree she was gorgeous (she still is). At the time, like many other young people, she did some freelance work for a modelling agency.
For the past many years leading up to this final campaign, I had used other models aged 15–25 years in fashion shoots. I did because they were beautiful, fun to work with, performed well, were available and fit the sample collections, and because their fees were affordable for a small business.
I was so focused on the look and on mastering the art of the possible that I overlooked how my choice might make identification difficult for you, my customers. Or, rather, identification was not my key focus.
I was staging a dream.
Thank you for forgiving and seeing through my misconception and buying the clothes anyway.

Her, i en af dem, ser du min datter som model på den sidste kampagne, jeg lavede for mit eget tøjmærke. Det er knap 15 år siden, hun var 15 år gammel, og vi kan vel godt blive enige om, at hun var skøn (det er hun stadig). Den gang var hun lige som mange andre unge i stald hos et modelbureau.
Inden da havde jeg gennem mange år fotograferet tøj på andre modeller i alderen 15-25 år. Det gjorde jeg, fordi de var smukke, sjove, performede godt, var til rådighed for opgaven, passede prøvekollektionerne og var til at betale for en mindre virksomhed.
Jeg var så optaget af udtrykket og af det muliges kunst, at jeg overså, at det måske hos jer kunder kunne knibe med identifikationen. Eller rettere anså jeg ikke identifikationen som det væsentlige.
Jeg iscenesatte en drøm.
