Is that wise, you might wonder. Yes, for we have something to share that we think, in all modesty, is both important and a perfect fit for a time when social media provide a vehicle for quick dissemination but also leave a major need for a calm and contemplation.
Welcome to a slow bookazine that is also a visual oasis.
We wish to explore how crafts can survive and claim their role in a modern era. Not as museum objects or time capsules but as living, modern, evolving practices.
Modern craft making exists at the intersection between tradition and renewal, between local and global, between handheld and industrial.
And so, do we. Our roots are Scandinavian, but our outlook is global.
We have a back catalogue of experience but are happy to experiment. We love tactile experiences but also feel at home with computers and online experiences!
HÅNDVÆRK is not addressed at any single age group or a particular gender.

The bookazine will introduce you to both young and seasoned makers and designers, self-taught or with apprenticeship or academic training.
If, like us, you would like a look behind the scenes to meet consummate professionals in workshops, studios, kitchens and fishing vessels, join us!
If you share our passion for craftsmanship, our love of materials and tools and our enjoyment of beautifully finished, stylish products and carefully composed still lifes of textile, wood, glass, ceramics, food, flowers and other topics, dive in!
The title of the bookazine, HÅNDVÆRK, refers to craft in the widest sense, from handmade craft objects and applied art to the craftsmanship that is a condition of any design process and of product development for industrial manufacturing.
HÅNDVÆRK will be published twice a year.
Vol. 1 is titled ‘At the table with HÅNDVÆRK’.

Et printbookazine -Er det nu klogt? Ja, for vi har noget på hjerte, som vi i al beskedenhed mener, både er vigtigt og passer som fod i hose i en tid, hvor sociale medier giver muligheden for hurtig spredning, men til gengæld efterlader et stort behov for ro og fordybelse.
Velkommen til et langsomt bookazine med ro for øjet.
Vi er optaget af, hvordan håndværket kan tage plads og kan overleve i en moderne tid. Ikke som museumsgenstand eller en tidslomme, men som en levende, moderne og foranderlig praksis.
Det moderne håndværk og kunsthåndværk lever i et krydsfelt mellem tradition og fornyelse, mellem lokalt og globalt, mellem håndholdt og industrielt. Det samme gør vi. Vi har vores rødder i Skandinavien, men har globalt udsyn. Vi har et bagkatalog af erfaringer, men eksperimenterer gerne. Vi næres af det taktile, men mistrives hverken med computer eller internet!
HÅNDVÆRK er ikke adresseret til en bestemt aldersgruppe eller et bestemt køn. Hvis du synes om det, er det til dig – værsgo!
Du vil her blive præsenteret for dem, som er unge i faget, og for de erfarne, de faglærte, de selvlærte, de akademisk uddannede. Hvis du ligesom os gerne vil bag om kulissen hos nogle passionerede mennesker, som befolker værksteder, tegnestuer, køkkener og fiskekuttere, så se med her. Hvis du deler vores passion for håndværksfærdigheder og vores glæde ved materialer og værktøj, men også vores glæde over færdige, formfuldendte produkter og iscenesatte stillebenbilleder, det være sig af tekstil, træ, glas, keramik, mad og blomster blandt andet, så lad os følges ad!
Vi favner fro og frejdigt både håndværk til husbehov, håndværk som i kunsthåndværk og kunstindustri samt det håndværk, som er en forudsætning for enhver designproces og for produktudvikling til industriel fremstilling.
HÅNDVÆRK vil fremover udkomme to gange om året. No. 1 har vi kaldt ‘til bords med HÅNDVÆRK’.
